Desires by Galia Ryan
Anna is one of Elite Escort Agency’s most popular call girls. She is quite comfortable living in the lap of luxury and pleasing a variety of wealthy men on her own terms; however, she longs to return to respectability. Only now she is accustomed to the best of everything. So Anna embarks on a quest to discover what else she is good for, other than dazzling every man who crosses her path.
Anna’s calm is shattered when a former client resurfaces. A few years earlier Adam introduced Anna to bondage and submission. But although he held her in his thrall, Adam overestimated his power. When he demanded total surrender, she cut herself off from him forever. Now Adam is asking to see her again. Initially she refuses, but what can she do? She can’t stop thinking about him.
The owner of Elite, Stephanie, is also haunted by memories of a former lover–Giancarlo, now married and dedicated to charitable work. When, after ten years, they come together once more, neither can resist the pull of their unresolved past, despite the possible consequences to Giancarlo’s career.
Desires is Book 3 of the Luxuria Trilogy. It completes the cycle that began with Anna’s story in Choices and Stephanie’s in Secrets.
Review/Interview:
“Desires” is Book 3 in the Luxuria Trilogy and it doesn’t lose the momentum that “Choices”(Book 1) and “Secrets”(Book 2) set! I was so lucky to have all 3 books at my disposal, otherwise it would’ve been driving me crazy with anticipation as to what would happen next!!
“Choices” starts out with Anna. She’s a successful banker, however she’s still having trouble paying her bills. Desperate times call for desperate measures and she finds herself calling the number for the Elite Escort Agency ad. Her boss/madam is Stephanie. You are obviously curious as to how Stephanie found her way into the escort business, but this is Anna’s story, so you tuck those questions away for another time. Being an escort is extremely hard on Anna, but she finds it easier if she takes on her alter ego Chloe. Chloe is the “whore” not Anna.
When she meets a client named Adam, he strips away that security blanket by calling her Anna and making sure she knows he is her master and she is being paid to be his willing “whore”. Anna finds herself easily drawn into the submissive role and she falls under Adam’s dominance.
Then she meets Jake and her life is turned upside down. He’s the boy next door. He is safe and Anna finds herself in love with him. But is safe really what she wants?
“Secrets” is about Stephanie and answers all those tucked away questions we had. Her mother abandons her with her father and Stephanie finds security in being a daddy’s girl, only to find out she’s being replace with a woman her father loves and eventually marries. In rebellion, she turns to Charles, an older man and her father’s best friend. He takes her away and they soon begin a relationship.
When she meets Olivia, it is under less than happy terms, but soon Olivia begins to open Stephanie’s eyes to the power of the female body and rich men.
When she meets Giancarlo, he brings something out in her that she wasn’t expecting and he makes her question if money and sex is really as fulfilling as she thought it could be.
When we finally get to “Desires”, we are sitting on the edge of our seats. Waiting…wanting to know how Anna and Stephanie’s stories played out. Did Anna follow her heart or her master? Or were choices finally taken out of her hands and secrets revealed? Does she lose it all or does she finally get everything she’s ever wanted and needed to be happy? And what exactly would that be?
Does Stephanie find her escort business is enough? or does she realize money means nothing if you don’t have someone to share it with. Is there someone in her future or from her past that makes her wish things were different?
My Final Thoughts: This is a trilogy that will keep you reading from start to finish. I couldn’t put the books down until I found out what I needed to know. The only thing I had issue with was the relationship between Adam and Anna in Book 1. Master/Submissive relationships are meant to push the submissive’s boundaries and enlighten them to their own needs and self. Not to break them or emotionally abuse them. Although she always had a choice to say no, it just felt like he played upon her insecurities of her own self worth to get her to submit vs it being a role she wanted to willingly fall into. However, that all being said, it still didn’t take away from the enjoyment of the book or the characters. I still give the Luxuria Trilogy as a whole…
5 Stars!
