“The Price of Love” by Maggi Craft

photo 23438336_zpsdc967b36.jpgArden Simms—an average twenty-five-year-old med student—is headstrong, independent, and spends most of her time consumed by her studies. The last thing she wants is a romantic relationship that could cause her life to veer off track.

Slayde Price is gorgeous, kind, and well on his way to fame and fortune. But the shallow people he’s surrounded by in Paris have started to bore him, and he’s contemplating a way out of his contract so he can return home.

Their worlds collide when Arden flies to Paris to visit her sister—and finds that her selfish younger sister has struck again, leaving Arden alone in a strange city with no place to stay. When Slayde bumps into Arden, his ex-girlfriend’s sister, on a crowded street, he decides he may just want to stay in Paris a little longer.

Before long, Arden realizes that ignoring her feelings for Slayde isn’t as easy as she’d thought it would be. Continue reading

“Entwined” The Life of Anna Part 2 by Marissa Honeycutt

photo 61QBaGgZ4KL_SL1425__zps10465050.jpgAnna has two masters, one she hardly knows, but who makes her feel safe, the other she’s known all her life and says he needs her.

Alex wants her to be free.

Devin demands her obedience.

As Anna takes her first steps into the world, into love, into friendship, she wonders if she will ever understand either of them.

There is a subculture within our own world that you’ve only heard whispers of. The conspiracy theorists wish they knew Anna’s story. What the conspiracy theorists think they know is only put out there to keep them from the real story.

I received a copy of this book from the author, Marissa Honeycutt, in exchange for an honest review.

*Note: This is the second book to the “Life of Anna” series.  It is NOT a standalone book and must be read in order(after Book 1, “Enslaved”(Read Review HERE) This book, as with the first, comes with one hell of a warning and it does NOT over exaggerate!  Read the warning on the “Enslaved” Review post and take it literal.

That being said…don’t read this book if you can’t handle the content cited by the warning.  It’s a disservice to you, the author and the book. I also want to note there is one comment/sentence made by Devin that pertains to under age sexual conduct.  It’s a shock to read, however it is pertinent to painting the picture of how despicable Devin truly is and the lengths he has gone to claim Anna as his own.

“Enslaved” The Life of Anna, Book 1 by Marissa Honeycutt

photo 22471343_zps9682e530.jpgAnna has been turned over to Devin Andersen, the most powerful man in San Francisco.

What does he have planned for her?

Is she just his mistress?

Or does he have darker designs in mind?

Anna’s story begins September 6.

Anna’s entire life was scripted out before she was born by Devin Andersen, a man who doesn’t have her best interests in mind. She is destined to be a tool in his hands to gain ultimate power in the USA. No, not as the President, but as the man who controls the President.

Raised by an extremely abusive guardian, Anna was molded into the perfect tool for Devin’s use. Devin will use Anna’s unique gifts to control everyone around him and eventually take her gifts for himself.
When Devin took her for himself at the age of sixteen, she had a vision of a man. A man who Devin was very interested in. But why? Why would Devin care about a young girl’s dreams? Continue reading

It’s that time of year again!! The 2nd Annual

“27 Days To Be Thankful Giveaway”!

Last year this proved to be a very humbling, heartwarming and special Giveaway.  We got a glimpse into each other’s lives by what we were each thankful for.  I learned some were thankful for the giveaway, books, their families and jobs.  I also learned some were thankful for their lives.
